Senior Manager Marketing, Experimentation and Growth Strategy

Description

About Gartner Digital Markets:

Gartner Digital Markets is a business unit within Gartner.  Our mission is to help small businesses make the right technology decisions and find the tools they need to grow, optimize, and become more effective at what they do.  The business is comprised of three leading brands—Capterra, Software Advice, and GetApp.  For candidates interested in taking their next career step in the technology space, Gartner Digital Markets offers the fast pace and excitement of working for a startup, the stability and resources of a large, established organization, and the opportunity to be on the front lines of innovation in an industry that is always growing and transforming.

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Experimentation and Growth Strategy to lead all testing efforts across all marketing channels.  This role will report to the Director of Marketing Operations. You’ll be responsible for driving an overall learning agenda for the marketing team through an organized set of frameworks and processes that layer in qualitative research, analytics, and experimentation. Ultimately, success will be based on generating actionable insights and ultimately improving user LTV and customer acquisition costs.

This role will work closely with CRO Product teams, UX, Analytics, and all of our marketing channels to champion a centralized testing framework that enables the business to run experiments at scale across various sites, channels, and audiences. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with testing platforms like Optimizely and Google Optimize and a variety of data and web tools such as a CDP, CMS, CRM, web analytics platforms, survey platforms, and digital marketing tools.

What You Will do:

  • Develop a learning agenda roadmap across the entire marketing department that encompasses qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including partnering with market research, UX research, analytics, and other cross-functional teams.

  • Drive all testing efforts across marketing channels (Paid, Social, Email, Partners, Earned, Brand, Creative, VM) and establish strategic objectives and operational frameworks for ensuring a robust, scalable program

  • Establish quarterly and yearly experimentation goals aimed at driving various business, brand, and customer-oriented objectives

  • Champion a structured testing framework and submission process to ensure optimal learnings and become a centralized repository for best practices and proven results for the organization

  • Build out testing roadmaps for marketing channels and work to align with the Product roadmap

  • Build and own a centralized system to manage, archive, and share tests/insights

  • Collaborate to understand where CRO testing can be a strong input into learning agendas

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on testing (test design, sequencing, metrics definition, and analysis)

  • Regularly report out on test results to key stakeholder and senior leadership

  • Track incremental impact of testing over time

What You Will Need:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience, with a strong understanding of conversion optimization, marketing channels, and UX.

  • Ability to efficiently analyze data for insight and generate hypothesis for high velocity testing

  • Strong competence with A/B testing tools, Analytics platforms, and CDPs

  • Experience working in a return on ad spend (ROAS) performance marketing framework

  • Experience working in a marketplace or lead generation business model

  • Excellent communication skills and storytelling ability

  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills

What We Offer:

  • Limitless growth and learning opportunities

  • A collaborative and positive culture — Your team will be as smart and driven as you

  • Outstanding compensation — Plus competitive benefits and generous time off

  • A chance to make an impact — Your work will contribute directly to our strategy
