Specialist, Advisory - Human Resources (Remote Texas or Virginia)


Advisors bring Gartner's research, best practices and tools to life for a wide spectrum of world-leading organizations. Specialists serve a support role within the advisory team, working in conjunction with Advisors to fulfill strategic and day-to-day tactical client research requests. They achieve this by packaging related Gartner research and highlighting the most relevant insights that will help address challenges faced by either an individual client or entire client segment. Specialists interface with senior HR executives applying and packaging Gartner resources to meet client challenges, sensing patterns among client needs to guide the research agenda and event calendar. Specialists also collaborate with their internal team to support external clients within their aligned practice. 

Gartner Research & Advisory has multiple opportunities at junior levels in this space and is looking for Specialists in the following areas:

  • Learning & Development (e.g.: skills assessments, skills inventory, training strategy for an organization or business function)

  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

  • Organizational Design (e.g.: organization transformation, HR transformation, restructuring, change management)

  • Total Rewards (e.g.: compensation, benefits, pay-for-performance)

  • Employee Experience / Engagement

What you will do:

  • Provide content support to improve the client experience by delivering Gartner insights through written and verbal communications (email correspondence, check-in calls, and online content-based sessions)

  • Package insights (deck compilation, summary writing, project scoping) to respond to assigned client requests or client events

  • Advise Sales and Service when they are responding to client requests

  • Support Advisors responding to clients, sales and service and take ownership of inbound requests

  • Support internal partners across practice initiatives including: coordination of service interactions and sharing relevant data to help shape research agendas

  • Participate on calls with clients and prospects calls to diagnose issues and deliver insight

  • Develop training materials to communicate critical Gartner insights, additional content and potential sales urgency drivers to the Sale and Service teams

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 0-2 years of relevant field, industry, internship or academic experience

  • Ability to aggregate and distill large amounts of information

  • Intellectual curiosity and dedication to mastering complex environments

  • Ability to demonstrate agile learning

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality material

  • Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
