What we’re looking for:

Gartner Digital Markets is looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our growing product team. Gartner Digital Markets is a business unit within Gartner. Our mission is to help small businesses make the right technology choices and find the tools they need to grow, optimize, and become more effective at what they do.


Our ideal candidate is an innovative designer and a data-driven, yet empathetic, user researcher. You’ll use your own expertise, along with data and insights from users and broader market analysis, to build new product updates for our users. 


This is a hands-on role focused on contributing to the processes of product discovery, design, and development. This role is also responsible for both UX and UI deliverables. You will be conducting user experience research, participating in ideation workshops, wireframing solutions, and designing high fidelity prototypes. 

You will be joining a four person UX/UI design team that are part of a small global team of product managers, front-end developers, and back-end developers. We manage a B2B product with marketing campaign auctions, lead generation tools, and customer user reviews.


Why you’ll want to come to work:

  • Ability to sketch/white board designs, create wireframes, create high fidelity designs with design software component libraries, prototyping, and proactively explore design solutions.

  • Understand UI design needs and be able to design high fidelity deliverables.

  • Present designs to stakeholders and articulate UX based thinking decisions.

  • Participate in design thinking or ideation sessions. 

  • Understand concepts of human centered design and customer experience (CX).

  • Help maintain the design system by performing quality assurance checks with Tech tickets as well as proposing updates to existing components.

  • Conduct user research through user testing and interviews and synthesize research findings into design priorities.

  • Use data to develop insights into improvements for user experience and flow. 

  • Ability to perform the above items independently at times.


What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Experience with wireframing and prototyping software. Preferably Sketch and InVision. 

  • Familiarity with UX Research.

  • Experience working with a design system is helpful.

  • Experience working closely with developers, writing UX/UI development specifications, and familiarity with agile sprint planning. Previous experience with JIRA and Confluence is helpful.

  • Familiarity with designing and/or facilitating ideation exercises is helpful.

  • 3+ years’ of UX, UX/UI, or similar experience
