Who You Are

As a Gartner Analyst on the Channel Partnerships (Tech CEO, Technology and Service Providers) team, you will provide actionable and objective insights for our clients through published content and tools, conversations (client inquiry), stage / virtual presentations, video conferences, and client meetings.

We are looking for a strong leader with:

  • A successful track record in developing and implementing channel partner strategy, identifying, and securing partners, and optimizing partner program performance.

  • Experience establishing partner led strategies from scratch for a wide range of technology vendors – with a particular passion for small/start-up organizations.

  • A vision for how partnership strategy and tactics must evolve to be successful set against the dynamics of the IT software/services market as well as the broader macro environment.

  • An excellent understanding of the business economics of channels

What You’ll Do

As a Gartner Analyst you will meet with clients every day: on the phone, in a video-conference, from the stage at a Gartner event or face-to-face during a sales support visit. In every client interaction analysts will help Technology and Service Providers to succeed in the IT Software and Service market. In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with other Gartner experts to develop a vision for how Partnership strategies must evolve and leverage this to help CEOs make faster and smarter decisions for businesses success.

  • Conduct research to develop actionable and objective insight targeting tech CEOs and their teams relating to the development, implementation and maintenance of Partner led strategies.

  • Develop tools to help tech CEOs establish and scale their organizations.

  • Remain ahead of the curve on developments and issues within your coverage areas as well as adjacent areas.

  • Respond to client questions, create materials for clients and deliver in person, via teleconference, video conference or webinar and event presentations

  • Work collaboratively as part of a globally distributed team of analysts.

  • Deliver high quality actionable advice through a variety of media.

  • Write clear, actionable, advisory research documents.

What You’ll Need

In addition to the experience outlined above your will need:

  • 12+ years of experience developing and implementing partner led strategies, across sizes of organization including small and start-up or deep and broad experience in channel consulting

  • A desire and ability to write effectively and succinctly.

  • Enjoy challenging and being challenged. Voicing your opinion.

  • Strong ability to explain complex ideas effectively.

  • Proficient in distilling data or information to identify key findings

  • Ability to effectively navigate a highly matrixed environment

  • Intellectual agility

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
