About this role:

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for influencing the client experience through the creation of compelling designs, data visualizations, illustrations, and layouts that best support and communicate Gartner insights in Gartner Consulting proposals and deliverables. You will be working in the Creative & Proposals (C&P) team to deliver impactful and timely products and expertly apply brand and design principles to create effective content visuals that meet strategic company goals. As part of the role, you will be working closely with Gartner consultants and the leadership on proposals, deliverables, presentations and other time-sensitive collaterals.

What you’ll do:

  • Create graphics/infographics/illustrations based on text descriptions, hand-drawn sketches, and other inputs from consultants for internal or mission-critical client-facing projects. Also, suggest layout enhancements for clear messaging of documents through visual interest and imagery.

  • Maintain a high degree of quality control through formatting, quality assurance checks and adhering to the Gartner style and voice.

  • Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) reviews to ensure all requirements are met.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working with team members to develop, monitor, manage, and revise project scope documents, timelines, and processes.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage best practice graphics from graphics libraries, customizing as needed to meet custom request requirements.

  • Support continual evolution of best practice graphics by capturing reusable graphics and frameworks from requests and updating best practice tools and libraries.

  • The creation of motion graphics and 2D video animations in Adobe After Effects, or any other animation development tool will be a plus.

  • Related duties and internal initiatives as assigned.

What you’ll need :

  • Bachelor's degree, certification or diploma in graphic design or closely related discipline.

  • 3-5 years (post-college) experience in a graphic design role.

  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel (charts) and PowerPoint, should know how to work with slide masters and styles in Word.

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Storyline 360 is a plus.

  • Experience with reading, understanding, and developing visualizations from complex data.

  • Experience with visual and digital storytelling, presentations, and user-centered design.

  • Ability to be a self-starter, pay strict attention to detail, and multitask across multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

  • Comfortable designing in a team environment but also working independently.

  • Portfolio demonstrating excellent design sense and/or experience with formatting content into visually appealing layouts, data visualizations, and infographics.

  • Possession of excellent oral and written skills, including communicating presentations to internal and external professionals at all levels.

  • Must exhibit teamwork with internal clients and other members of the creative team, take direction yet make decisions independently.
