Senior Director, Ethics & Compliance


About this role:

Senior Director, Global Ethics & Compliance will support Gartner’s adherence to global legal standards and attendant policies and procedures. In this role, you will identify risks and help develop essential training, vital communications, and risk assessment plans. You will support and manage initiatives and projects in Ethics & Compliance, including third party risk management, updates to policies and contractual controls, and relevant training and communications. You will lead internal investigations and support interactions with state, local and national regulatory authorities. In this role you will regularly interact with Legal and Ethics & Compliance associates around the world, as well as other senior Gartner leaders regarding legal and regulatory compliance topics. You will report directly to the MVP, Legal & Compliance.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the enhancement of Gartner’s Ethics & Compliance program, including creating relevant Audit Committee materials, supporting risk assessment processes, and collaborating with key stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Internal Audit, Legal, Consulting)

  • Lead certain legal and compliance investigations and resulting remediation efforts, partnering with relevant stakeholders

  • Enhance regulatory compliance workstreams, including:

    • Designing and implementing an automated enterprise-wide, third-party risk management (TPRM) solution, related workflows, and stakeholder communications and training

    • Enhanced segmentation and reviews of, as well as contractual controls around, third parties, including suppliers, clients, Sales Agents and subcontractors  

    • Regular updates to Anti-Bribery, Trade Sanctions, Anti-Money Laundering, and Anti-Trust policies, and related training and communications efforts

    • Other strategic initiatives and special projects

What You Will Need:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant legal and compliance experience

  • JD or equivalent law degree required

  • Outstanding analytical and communications (written and verbal) skills

  • Ability to communicate with Senior Management

  • Desired experience with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) or bribery violations, including investigations and remediation

  • Desired experience building and/or managing a third-party risk management (TPRM) program
