Director, SEO


Corporate Marketing’s Content and SEO team is seeking a rockstar SEO strategist to lead SEO for all organic and paid digital marketing for the company. As a leader in the Content & SEO team, you will partner with content leaders to build an integrated strategy and customer journey to maximize organic traffic, paid performance and desired actions. Your experience developing strategy for B2B and content-intensive brands along with managing teams of SEO specialists will be valuable to running this dynamic team.

What you’ll do:

The Director, SEO Strategy & Operations will: 

  • Collaborate with business leaders across the enterprise to develop targeted SEO strategies based on their business goals, aligning each program with a broader SEO strategy and the Gartner keyword ecosystem

  • Drive Gartner’s SERP placement and traffic growth with strategic and operational excellence

  • Partner with content leaders to build an integrated SEO content program that drives prospects to relevant content and into efficient buyer journeys

  • Act as a thought leader and consultant to the international digital and video teams and various business units, providing ad hoc services

  • Hire, train and manage top global talent to excel in their roles 

  • Manage and optimize timely reporting to stakeholders and management

  • Ensure technical and content SEO excellence across site properties

  • Develop and evangelize the SEO Center of Excellence for Gartner, driving optimum performance for our digital properties and leading the way for partners across the company

What you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in SEO, 5+ years of people management

  • Advanced data analytics experience

  • Knowledge of SQL or basic HTML/CSS programming skills preferred 

  • Experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics/Tag Manager, STAT/Moz, BrightEdge, OnCrawl and Ahrefs

  • Knowledge of International SEO 

  • Experience with video SEO and/or YouTube SEO
