About this role:

  • Directs a multi-disciplinary development team to develop and implement significant improvements to core systems and business processes in support of the company’s/divisions

  • The ideal candidate would be working on a product development initiative for Gartner and shall have the experience working on latest technologies and processes.

  • He/ She would be responsible for Design, Build, Implementation and Support of the solution along with building Profit, Growth, and Customer satisfaction goals.

  • Interfaces to several existing systems within Gartner.

  • The prospective candidate would also be responsible for grooming a team of software Test Engineers on the project and be a pivotal point of contact from the IT organization in Gartner for the Consulting organization’s stakeholders.

  • The candidate would also get the experience of working across a gamut of enterprise systems that cater to CRM, Project management, Resource management, Timesheets, Expense management, Billing and Invoicing.

  • Lead the QA team towards achieving quarterly and yearly product goals

  • Adaptability and attention to finalizing testing details and duties amidst aggressive time challenges.

  • Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented

  • Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process

  • Develop repeatable and automatable QA systems

What you’ll do: 

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop/review test plans, functional/non-functional test cases, integrated tests and automate the test based on the specs.

  • Efficiently execute the test across all functional/non-functional areas of our products

  • Create, Execute, Debug, fix and Maintenance of automation script and contribute towards adding new tests to the existing automated test suites using Selenium with Java/ Python/ JavaScript other industry standard test automation tools for Smoke/Regression purposes

  • Perform load/performance test of the system using JMeter

  • Effectively document defects and track till closure.

  • Detail oriented in analysis, Test status and Reporting of results to aid technical decisions made by the team and raise issues and potential risks to stakeholders.

  • Passion to deliver products with high quality

  • Ensuring QA Sign-off on successful completion of projects and Documenting Test Summary Report.

  • Help building / configuring continuous integration tool to reduce testing cycle

  • Work with Test Manager and build new automation solutions / Proof of Concepts to help Team

  • Attend project meetings (Grooming/Scrum/Inter and provide inputs from the QA’s perspective

  • Ensure monitoring & alerts systems as updated & reviewed regularly

  • Support release activities as needed

  • Quick resolution for Production issues within SLA as per the prescribed standards

  • Update/create monitoring scripts, Splunk alerts, as needed

  • Work with product teams to define and refine the UACs for the product

  • Work with PMO teams to streamline project delivery

  • Work with leadership teams to define and strategize QA goals for the team

  • Monitor and Evaluate the QA team's performance

  • Perform Regular performance reviews for the team and provide feed backs as necessary

What you’ll need:

  • 7-10 year of Software testing experience in manual and automation testing

  • 5+ years of Automation scripting experience in (JAVA-Selenium, JavaScript & Node JS) other industry standard test automation tools and technologies

  • 2+ year of Database experience (MySQL or MSSQL) - Writing complex SQL queries using PL/SQL

  • Experience in Webservice/ API testing

  • Proficient in the use of tools that support test management – e.g. JIRA

  • Experience in developing/maintaining Test automation frameworks

  • Driven by continuous improvement

  • Ability to work and collaborate with a team across geographies.

  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies

  • Must have strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing high-quality automation to solve test problems

  • Experience with testing methodologies such as BDD, TDD, regression, automation, exploratory testing, etc.,

  • Must be able to work in a team with minimal direction

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders

  • Takes full ownership of end-user quality, usability and appeal

  • Familiarity with agile processes

Desirable:

  • Exposure of Nightwatch, Cucumber, Python & .NET is added advantage

  • Exposure to Performance and Load testing using Jmeter

  • Exposure to Agile Methodology

  • Exposure to AWS technologies

  • Experience in using JIRA for defect management and documentation

  • Exposure to DevOps tool stack - GIT, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, etc.

  • QA of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/RPA systems is a plus

  • BE/BTech/BS, ME/MTech/MS or MCA and no-distance education.
