Provide guidance and support for the development life cycle and maintenance of Gartner’s real time transactional production, DR and Development database systems. Maintain a stable environment for the operation of business applications using Oracle, Microsoft, and Open Source/Other database technology. Meet SLAs for Database Systems Up time & Database Systems Performance. Facilitate the development, implementation, maintenance and continuance of databases within the current infrastructure. Establish and implement database policies, procedures and standards, and ensure compliance. Conduct studies and projects of database resource requirements including personnel, software, equipment and facilities, and make recommendations to management. 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. $ 110,000 /yr.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience. Must have 3 years of experience with/in: • Development lifecycle and maintenance of systems and databases in a computing environment; • Operational DBA experience with one or more of the following RDBMS platforms: Oracle, MS SQL Server or MySQL; • Database administration, SQL, and DB programming (T-SQL, PL/SQL); • Utilizing Unix and/or Windows operating system; • AWS, Azure Cloud and packaged ERP applications (Oracle, Siebel, OBIEE); and • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) process management.
