About the role:

This is a unique opportunity to make an impact on new product development for Gartner’s Cloud Decisions development team. The Cloud Decisions development team is a very fast paced interactive research team. Taking Gartner research and external data to create an interactive solution for our clients is where we excel.

Senior Software Engineer role is a key driver for our ongoing transformation of our Cloud Service Provider partnership and interactions. This person will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our data acquisition processes and interactions with the Cloud Service Providers.

What you will do:

  • Work with Cloud Service Providers to deliver new data, features and new data acquisition processes and tools
  • Design and develop application modules that utilize internal research and externally obtained data
  • Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements while tracking progress towards deliverables
  • Collaborate and partner with Cloud Service Providers to guide Gartner’s partnership with them as we enable new processes
  • Partner with executive leadership and product management to refine delivery content and schedules
  • Work with our contract development resources to ensure they are delivering the right value to Gartner and our clients

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field
  • 7-10 years software development experience
  • Experience with cloud environments (app development and/or administration of an environment)
  • Knowledge of Linux usage and administration
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment with internal and external partners
  • Ability to design, develop, organize, and lead initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with Github, CI/CD Platforms, Node.js, Typescript, PHP, Bash, MySQL and GraphQL
