Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge and interest in Public Sector work
  • Prioritize and execute on value creation activities, with the appropriate level of activities to continuously generate demand and large ($500k) deals leading by example on demand generation, retention and repeat business and building successful and effective teams
  • Designs Managing Partner’s account portfolios to guarantee and continuously improve sales productivity for large client penetration through monthly sales contribution and predictability
  • Collects and communicates  Public Sector demand requirements to practices, drive industry specific IP in collaboration with Practice teams
  • Increases awareness at the wider industry ecosystem level generating clients intelligence to inform account teams
  • Align Gartner Consulting Solution Portfolio to the Public Sector portfolio and “tailor” solutions to Public Sector needs.
  • Collaborate AND Develop with the Public Sector leaders team to share market learnings and opportunities to leverage approaches on common market issues (generate multi-market view of best practices)
  • Manage Account portfolio for the Practice – Participate in key account decisions, quota pullback, portfolio management and account assignment
  • Define Integrated solutions to a set of high priority market issues
  • Collaborate with the IAS Research analysts to ensure alignment on best thinking, industry business and technology issues, market trends and surveys/tools
  • Develop Public Sector marketing collateral according to requirements and formats defined by Gartner Consulting Global Sales
  • Develop the Sales and Marketing Strategy for Gartner Consulting and improve the overall sales effectiveness and sales capabilities of the organization
  • Drive development of external and internal marketing collateral, define types, format and requirements
  • Drive Communication of Consulting offering portfolio within Gartner

Expected results

  • Guarantees an aggregated industry utilization greater than 60% with a special focus on public sector majors and industry Directors/Senior Directors
  • Achieve individual financial targets – utilization, managed revenue, sales, etc.
  • Achieve the overall sales target for Consulting
  • Leverage the wider Gartner ecosystem

Qualifications preferred

  • 10+ years of overall Management consulting experience
  • Drive communication of Public Sector consulting offering portfolio within Gartner
  • Recognized Public Sector industry leader
  • Insatiable ability to gain and sustain executive relationships as a trusted business advisor
  • Drive an acceptable engagement gross margin at or above Gartner Consulting Standards
  • Keen understanding of the clients business and industry
  • Demonstrated ability to sell and lead delivery of complex engagements
  • Highly experienced at leading engagement teams, including coaching
  • Understands the business and economics of consulting
  • Can drive Gartner Consulting value proposition
  • Executive level presentation/written communication skills
  • MBA/MPA or similar graduate degree
  • Valid Government Security Clearance
  • Travel to client sites as required (on average 20%)
  • Locations: Ottawa, Toronto or Calgary
