We’re looking for a senior marketer who’s ready to take their career to the next level. This position will formulate PR strategies to increase brand awareness and work with relevant stakeholders on execution. This role will require working across several geos and time zones, so candidates should have experience working with remote teams, be highly proactive, and have strong written and communication skills. Ideal candidates will have a foundation in digital PR, marketing, communications, basic SEO knowledge, and a results-driven mindset. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, has a passion for crafting and executing a compelling narrative, and has relationships with journalists and media outlets. Bonus if you have an interest in helping build, scale, and someday lead a team.
What You Will Do:
Hit ambitious goals. You’ll work with leadership to set promotion targets and work to ensure we hit those numbers.
Develop PR strategy and optimize outreach. You’ll come up with successful promotional angles, pitch templates, and identify opportunities for our research to be shared across outlets that reach our target audience of software buyers. You’ll document and share with the team.
Manage media relations and requests. You will be responsible for building relationships with key influencers and journalists that align with buyer-facing brands as well as coordinate commentary opportunities between analysts, executives, and senior leadership.
Support a diverse set of stakeholders. As a part of this team, you’ll need to remain agile to address the evolving needs of a high-growth organization, fostering relationships with partners in Content, Brand Management, International Marketing, Vendor Marketing, and Publishing.
Mentor team members. The organization is growing rapidly and you’ll have the opportunity to train and mentor junior associates in digital PR.
What You Will Need:
5+ years of professional experience in media relations, PR campaigns, content strategy, project management, and email outreach.
Experience working with remote teams across different geos and timezones
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.You possess the experience, intellect, and know-how to analyze, plan, execute and deliver top-notch results.
Communication champion. Your communication is clear and actionable, and your promotion email copy entices people to open and respond. Your projects will impact many other parts of the business, so staying in communication with internal stakeholders (as well as the external contacts you are working with) is critical.
Ability to stay organized and prioritize. You nerd out on organizational systems and you’re always looking for ways to get more done with less wasted effort.
Appreciation for data. We measure everything around here and use a data-driven approach to develop our outreach strategy and evaluate success. Your emails lead to demonstrable results against campaign KPIs
