PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership and flawless delivery of LATAM IT Symposium/Xpo & NA Summit events
  • Effective project management including development of and leading the team to adhere to timelines and templates 
  • Accurately track and evaluate results on overall project goals – be solution driven in attaining those goals and driven in achieving the results with the ability to scale for growth
  • Communication and collaboration across event teams to ensure seamless delivery of first-class events
  • Overall responsibility for event budgets including preparation, negotiations, accurate monthly forecasts for events totaling $13m in expense, alert management for risks and recommendations for corrective action
  • Understand the strategies within Gartner associated to events and translate these into live event experiences
  • Effective management of event partners including regular reviews and negotiation of contracts beneficial to Gartner to ensure that we are working with best in class partners
  • Venue management including but not limited to rooms, meeting facilities, F&B, meeting materials, A/V
  • Actively participate in the process of reviewing, enhancing and executing event features and programs, analyzing attendee feedback to ensure we are delivering exceptional, relevant event experiences   
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures in line with the global standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree with focus on events and/or marketing preferred
  • 5-7 years of business meeting planning experience
  • Proven budget management abilities
  • Project management experience
  • Experience of working in a complex multi layered environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Fluent in Portuguese preferred
  • Strong Financial Management Skills
  • Talented, Collaborative and Flexible Project Manager
  • Strong Oral & Written Communication Skills
  • Client focused
  • Solution oriented with a high sense of urgency
  • Fully competent in Microsoft office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
