The Sr. Account Manager role with Gartner Digital Markets is a combination of customer relations, sales, and consulting. If you enjoy helping, educating and persuading people to improve and succeed, look no further. As a member of the Client Success team, you will spend your day talking to our larger and savvier software marketers to help them get the most out of their experience with Gartner Digital Markets. Your challenge will be to identify the right ways - using primarily video conferencing and email with an occasional onsite visit - to persuade and teach your vendors how to constantly improve and grow their online marketing efforts across Gartner Digital Markets full suite of products and services.
What You Will Do:
You will advise your customers (software companies) on inbound, digital marketing, and lead generation best practices in order to meet and exceed their goals for driving sales from their programs with Gartner Digital Markets and therefore maximize client retention.
You will manage bids and spend for some clients on quarterly or annual IO and POs
You will manage a book of business with enterprise level pay-per-click (PPC) clients, pay-per-lead (PPL) clients, and data insights (DI) clients which you are responsible for growing and retaining.
You have an annual sales goal for net new DI product sales
In addition to growing your clients in PPC and PPL you are also responsible for cross-selling other products like DI, marketing services, and reviews.
You'll stay up to date with the latest online marketing and lead generation best practices to help your clients improve their marketing efforts through proactive, consultative outreach.
You will mentor new mid market (MM) associates on territory and sales best practices. You’ll lead training and/or best practice workshops for MM account managers and lead by example to continuously improve our internal processes.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree preferred
3-5 years of experience in account management/sales
Demonstrated leadership experience
Upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude
Experience with online marketing and technology
Excellent verbal and writing skills
Established persuasion skills and phone presence
Proficient computer skills
Ability to lead in-person and web conference meetings
