About this role:

Provide support to global users of various financial applications. The primary objectives of the Senior Financial Systems Analyst is to support the maintenance of various financial applications & reporting systems and extend their functionality to support the ever-changing business needs of the finance organization. The Senior Financial Systems Analyst enables global financial planners and tax so they are as productive & effective as they can be with our current financial system applications, especially with regard to the monthly results & budgeting/forecasting processes.

What you’ll do:  


  • Help maintain operation of Oracle Hyperion Planning, Essbase, HPCM and HFM for use by accountants, financial planners, and tax by resolving and responding to problems/inquiries

  • Facilitate maintenance of uninterrupted operation of our financial applications.  Ensure continued access to include the following tasks:  maintain reports & data entry forms, maintain business rules/scripts, load/reconcile data from other systems & research any discrepancies, ensure dimension structures/meta-data are synchronized with other system applications, maintain/manage user security/access/provisioning, trouble-shooting

  • Effective use of creative, analytical skills to identify & address problems, trouble-shoot issues & resolve data/structure discrepancies in an efficient manner

  • Create & maintain documentation on current systems, processes, logic & issues


  • Work with Finance end users to gather & develop business requirements & document processes

  • Plan & manage the design & implementation of systems enhancements, improvements & upgrades

  • Successfully test & implement with minimal impact to end users

  • Communicate with &/or train & educate the Financial Planners to achieve high user acceptance

Training / Education

  • Provide initial knowledge transfer & help on-board new or incoming financial planners

  • Create & maintain training materials & conduct training workshops for beginner & advanced Finance end users

Project Management / Communication

  • Represent Corporate Planning & Controllership in coordinating with stakeholders for cross-functional projects/initiatives

  • Communicate to Finance and tax end users information regarding deadlines, calendar/timelines, maintenance schedule, system enhancements/upgrades & other information as needed

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science/Management Information Systems

  • Certifications gained for various applications within Hyperion

  • 5 - 7 years accounting/information systems related experience

  • Experience that required(s) a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Experience in any role that required(s) working between a business unit & IT & facilitating communications & projects between the two groups

  • Strong knowledge in various Financial Systems, Applications & Reporting Tools, as required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders & drive results

  • Ability to design & build processes utilizing technology to solve business problems

  • Effective influencing, presentation & listening skills

  • Able to work in a constantly changing, dynamic environment; Highly organized with great time management skills; Able to effectively reprioritize in order to support the business; Act with a sense of urgency

  • Strong customer service mindset & talent for anticipating customer needs

  • Apply accounting principles & techniques to ensure data integrity & audit trails are maintained
