Gartner Analysts provide IT professionals with independent expert advice to help them complete their mission critical priorities (MCPs). Our new Principle Analyst will create Gartner research and analysis, communicate their insights to our clients (both in writing and orally), and will support sales in the Asia Pacific region. Through developing deep expertise and insights, and using Gartner tools, methodologies & resources you will generate research that clients find pragmatic, interesting, and provocative.
The current role will research the ability of IT vendor products & service offerings to meet the technical requirements demanded by MCP initiatives in the Data and Analytics space.
Responsibilities:
Conduct both new and on-going technical research and analysis of the capabilities of vendor product/service offerings in the areas such as Analytics & Business Intelligence, DSML, Conversational AI Platforms
Follow Gartner’s research processes to provide in-depth technical analysis based on client input and personal experience.
Independently create, develop and write well-structured research; incorporating interviews, surveys, technical analysis
Interpretation of large volumes of technical criteria
Peer review research of other analysts. Assure accuracy, consistency and timely research reviews.
Provide clients with compelling advice on specific topics aligned to their designated practice via detailed technical analysis of vendor product/service offerings
Collaborate with team members and senior analysts on emerging areas/trends
Identify opportunities to improve process efficiencies
Proactively support Advisory, RES, Sales and Service and other internal stakeholders across relevant research key initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in related field
2-3 years of relevant experience in a particular D&A field, industry or role
Solid understanding of D&A technology and industry that includes vendors, products and end-user requirements.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions
Demonstrated superior analytical skills, the ability to extract key research findings, build a narrative from complex data sets then draw and defend conclusions

Ability to work independently and as a team player, supporting the workflow of others, in a multicultural global team
Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality material
