Job Brief:

Gartner Digital Markets is looking for a passionate Technical Project Manager for our development and infrastructure team located in Barcelona, Spain. 

In this key role, you are responsible for guiding the team on how to leverage Agile values & principles. You will partner with other members of our team (Developers), and with engineering and business stakeholders to ensure results.

What You Will do:

  • Provide ongoing facilitation and coaching that enables the team to excel at Agile development.

  • Manage sprint velocity-related metrics and goals.

  • Run scrum ceremonies, e.g., daily huddles, backlog grooming, sprint planning and sprint retros to actively manage risks and external dependencies.

  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, conflict resolution, promote joint accountability for results and solving productivity issues.

  • Support the team to achieve their OKRs

  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.

  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.

  • Partner with the Team Engineering Lead to prioritize and manage work requests and the backlog.

What You Will Need:

  • Any Bachelor's degree with First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)

  • Experience in playing the Scrum Master or similar role for at least 2 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Agile principles and practices. 

  • Knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Paired Programming and Automated Testing.

  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.

  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches such as Kanban is a plus.

  • Excellent communication oral & written (we work in English!) and mentoring skills.
