Gartner Digital Markets is looking for a passionate Business Intelligence Analyst for our team located in Barcelona, Spain. Gartner Digital Markets helps small businesses find the right software by offering the most comprehensive list of business software solutions on the web so that you're guaranteed to find your best match.

What you’ll do

  • Use analytics to support Gartner Digital Market’s mission to be the leading resource for software buyers and sellers

  • Design, develop, execute and manage analytics projects, recurring reports and dashboards for key internal customers across sales, client service, vendor marketing and reviews 

  • Produce ad hoc and project-based analysis to support key business initiatives 

  • Quantify the impact of major business initiatives and communicate findings to key stakeholders

  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to support analytics goals

  • Provide data-driven recommendations and guidance to drive business performance

What you’ll need

  • BA/BS from a top-tier university

  • Degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics or another quantitative field preferred

  • 2+ years of analytical work experience in high data volume environments (preferably in internet, software or technology industries)

  • Basic understanding of data analysis tools and techniques

  • Experience working with cloud-based or traditional relational database management systems

  • Knowledge of SQL or similar database scripting language

  • Proficient with Google (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Microsoft suite of business applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)

  • Experience working with web analytics tools a plus (Google Analytics, Omniture)

  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization systems a plus (Tableau, Power BI)
