Sales Operations Manager, Sales Strategy and Enablement (Pipeline Management)

Gartner’s Global Sales Strategy and Operations (GSSO) team strives to help every Gartner sales associate maximize the market opportunity available to them. We are the drivers of transformation, identifying what, when, and how we need to change to reach our full potential.
About this role:
The Sales Operations Manager is a key member of the team, reporting to the MVP of Sales with responsibilities aligned to our pipeline management process. Our team is highly collaborative, working across Gartner sales, service, product, and Research and Advisory.
What you’ll do:
Assess the efficacy of our sales processes and programs in targeted areas of the sales pipeline, identifying where we can drive higher outcomes while reducing complexity
Investigate top performing associates and teams to understand why they outperform peers
Identify what approaches can be scaled to drive our collective productivity
Design and run initiatives to directly drive change or collaborate across our internal partners to pilot and scale with the goal of accelerating our growth
Represent the business process in our CRM transformation to ensure we are building to foundations for our future growth
Own targeted sales enablement resources for large cross-practice initiatives that are critical to our growth processes
What you’ll need:
Undergraduate degree required, MBA a plus
5+ years business experience in sales operations, business analysis or consulting. Consulting background preferred (McKinsey, Booz Allen, BCG, Deloitte, Accenture, etc)
Proven ability to understand business initiatives and challenges and to provide recommended business solutions using fact-based analysis.
Strong relationship-building skills: Able to effectively partner with and influence multiple teams and leaders in a matrixed environment
Excellent analytical skills; ability to analyze large datasets and translate raw information into actionable insights so that it can be easily understood and used by the organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to create and deliver effective decks and updates for use by multiple levels of staff, up to and including the executive level
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams and large amounts of detail simultaneously
Project and program management experience: Ability to organize and track complex projects, keep self and others on track and identify emerging issues
Curiosity: Interest in understanding complex problems to identify underlying drivers and surface interesting new approaches that can scale
