Job Brief:

As part of the central analytics organization, you will have the opportunity to help support the Site Analytics group at Gartner Digital Markets (GDM). Specifically, you will support our Capterra brand by applying analytics to drive website performance and increase conversion rates. By using tools like Google Analytics and Power BI, you will develop a deep understanding of how the site functions, analyze user behavior, and help deliver a more engaging and relevant site experience for software buyers while improving the volume and quality of leads for software sellers. You will support experimentation and testing to evaluate the impact of new site features or designs, and you will help estimate the potential return on site development options.

What You Will Do:

  • Use analytics to support Gartner Digital Market’s mission to be the leading resource for software buyers and sellers.

  • Develop and manage recurring reports and dashboards for internal customers.

  • Produce ad hoc and project-based analysis to support key business initiatives. 

  • Quantify the impact of major business initiatives and communicate findings to key stakeholders.

  • Work alongside product managers to plan for and measure the impact of site development. 

  • Support the planning and forecasting process as needed to predict the performance of key metrics.

  • Design and execute analytics projects and communicate findings to key stakeholders.

  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to support analytics goals.

  • Provide data-driven recommendations and guidance to drive business performance.

What You Will Need:

  • BA/BS with a preferred degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics or another quantitative field.

  • Basic understanding of data analysis tools and techniques.

  • Knowledge of SQL or similar database scripting language and relational databases. 

  • Proficiency in Google or Microsoft suite of business applications (Excel, Word, etc.).

  • Experience working with web analytics tools a plus (Google Analytics, Omniture).

  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization systems a plus (Tableau, Power BI).
